Friends

I've got plenty of friends all around Alaska, but I got some really close friends in Kotzebue. There's Martha Shield,who has lived here and in camp all her life; Mamie Geffe, she's lived here and there, but she's lived in Kotzebue for quiet some time; Frances Smith, and she is moving around the villages; Albertha Wilson has also moved to and from the villages, but is currently living in Kotzebue; and Annie .O., and she's from Anchorage. And that's just to name a few around town. They're the ones I tell my secrets to, the ones I go to when I got a problem, the ones that are just there for me. Then there's Kathy Tickett from Kobuk, whom I just met at the beginning of this program. She's one of those funny, laugh all you want kind of girl. Which brings me to a girl named Jennifer Armstrong. She, too, is one of those make you laugh type. She doesn't know Kathy, yet. Jennifer is from Tennessee. Well, that's just where she was last living. As far as I know, she has been moving around the "lower 48". She, too, is living in Kotzebue for the time being, and I don't want her to move. We don't hang out much, but I think it's because of her working and me going to school, but if we had the time, we'd be hanging out more often.

I have guy friends, too, but they're not as close as the girls are to me. First, there's my current boyfriend, Byron, and he's from Seliwik. We also met at the beginning of this program. Then there's Albie Monroe, he lives in Kotzebue; Chris Wilson, one of Albertha's brothers; Paul Wilson, another one of Albertha's brothers; and Willie Hadley from Buckland. There's more, but I'm half asleep and not feeling too well at the moment.
